Its pretty ok, atleast actively developed but they have been fighting through a lot of issues with multiple users and seperating out how that works. They also have some..ideas...about how they can make irl money from their endeavors
its not feature complete compared to pathfinder/tripwire/galaxyfinder/nem but its usable for small groups
They also wrote the bulk of it in elixir, which kudos for not choosing perl or php, but also lawl erlang
I think Galaxy Finder is the best written mapper, but they also un-open sourced a bunch of the code while they clean it up and last time I checked didnt have a self hostable version cause they chose all the shift left style cloud integrations

Yes, it is a direct replacement for wormhole scanning and mapping
but built in this century unlike pathfinder/tripwire

The main reason we went with it is because it is maintained and selfhostable
pathfinder seems mostly dead. GalaxyFinder is not selfhostable last I checked. I don't really know about tripwire, but my corp didn't want it for some reason.
And we don't have the time to develop one from scratch
I mean erlang/elixir at least has "a cool technology" factor. At the same time, it takes much more effort to get started and contribute anything because the language is quite
PHP has ugly syntax and a weird standard library. But beyond that, modern PHP almost feels like python or dynamically typed java

the goryn branch of pathfinder is '''fine'''
but 100% wanderer is the most likely new standard
if they fix allll the things

I mean I'd already have fixed some stuff. But learning elixir will take some time
