SeAT - forum: Seat Docker 5 - Discord Connector and Diagnosing Lack of Role Assignment - Page 1

Hi, using Seat Docker 5 (versions attached) with v3.0.0 Seat Connector, and v6.0.1 Discord Connector. Everything is installed and working with the discord bot - users can register, go through oauth redirect and land in discord. BUT, role assignment is not working as far as i can see. In the settings page, when i click on the 'Sync Users' or 'Update Sets' no error is reportd, and in the http logs the server interactions have 200 responses but I'm not sure if the necessary data is being exchanged. When i then go to the Access Management page there are no users available to assign roles? Looking for some help in how to diagnose this further. Thanks

The issue we have is not setting the roles, but the connecter pushing the roles to the user on discord

seems to be a policy issue that I cannot identify

this issue resolved (I think)

Is the bot role above the role you want it to set and is the user holding any roles that the bot can't touch? (Roles above it's own roles)

For that instance yes the user was an owner, all now works as intended. Thank you

Bot can't touch the roles of the owner.. try to avoid having it touch the roles of the owner.
